Download videos from the Carter Albrecht Foundation benefit

$

On Saturday, October 20, 2007, many of the Dallas / Fort Worth area's top bands gathered at the Granada Theater to pay tribute to their friend, Carter Albrecht. The event also served as a kick-off benefit for the Carter Albrecht Music Foundation, which will support local music and the music industry in Dallas. It was a special night, and a fitting tribute to Carter.

We teamed up with Dallas iMedia to tape that show and we're making it available here for anyone to download and keep. This is the real deal -- four cameras and a soundboard mix.

The family and bands have asked that we make these videos available free of charge. However, we strongly suggest a donation to the Carter Albrecht Music Foundation for each file that you download. You can make a donation by credit card using the donate button above. Note that the $5 is a suggested donation, and you can change the number in the field upwards or downwards to suit your budget.

100% of your donation will go directly to the Foundation.

Again, the donation is optional but strongly suggested. A lot of people went to a lot of effort to put on this show, film it, mix it, edit it, post it and make it available here. Please respect their efforts and the Foundation's goals by donating before downloading.

Now for the good stuff...

Special thanks to Bill Ellison and the Granada Theater for providing the photos. And by the way, after you've gotten your video fix, check out the rest of our site. We have a lot of great local coverage and will even customize it specifically based on your reading habits.

Today

Laurie Anderson Laurie Anderson is indescribably delicious. She's hitting McFarlin tonight with her new show, Homeland, and you can bet it will contain intellectual stimulation and pure unadulterated weirdness in equal measure. An album will follow the Homeland tour in 2009. More info
