Born in Fort Worth and raised in Houston, Derek Hames has been around music since the age of 2, when he first performed onstage with a live band at the original Gilley's HonkyTonk.
John Shelton's father was an executive with Fender Musical Instruments when he gave his son his first electric guitar.
Joe Rayburn has been involved in music from the early days of his life, first in school choir, and then in area bands such as Balistix during his college days. He also played football at Stephen F. Austin State University.
Chris Davis grew up in the Dallas area and began playing both bass and electric guitar as a teenager. Unsatisfied by stints in previous area bands, he had decided to concentrate on recording music in his home studio until his path crossed with 60 Foot Sammy.
Rob Palladino, from London, grew up with a very musical brother, Angelo, lead vocalist of The Palladinos, and found himself drumming for touring UK bands, The Barflies, Angel Cage and others.
The band recorded and produced their first full-length release, Falling From Five Stories, in London and Denmark by Grammy-nominated British producer John Ravenhall.
