Already Proud began in 1996 with the now disbanded Odd Man Out. Pete Dyer and Jacy Bellew continued on, and three years after the formation of their first band, found Anthony Accardo.

After seven years of fairly high profile success in Texas and abroad, Already Proud began recording their album Even Angels Fall. Unfortunately, shortly after completing the CD, the band parted ways with their bassist and second guitarist.

After auditioning many musicians over the next six months, Already Proud finally found Nick Caldwell as a second guitarist and Michael Wolfe on bass.

Akira Sato Jazz trumpeter Akira Sato, by way of Tokyo, Japan and Vancouver, Canada, is an SMU faculty member and director of The Meadow Jazz Orchestra at SMU. He is also an adjunct faculty member at UNT where he teaches jazz arranging. Sato is also heading into the studio soon with other area musicians and playing at the Scat Jazz Lounge tonight. With all that he's up to, the least you could do is order a Scotch on the rocks and chill to some tunes. (Photo by flickr user arteunporro. More info
