American Radio Flyer was created under the name "Enola" by singer/guitarist Andrew Strickland and soon joined by bassist James Layfield back in their high school days. Many practices and gigs in and around McKinney led the band to believe they needed a few additions to complete their sound. After keyboardist Andrew's sister Anne Strickland and drummer Aaron Beaudrie joined up, the band finally met Andrew and James' vision.
American Radio Flyer has performed in many north Texas clubs and were the 2004 winners of the annual San Antonio Trinity University Battle of the Bands. Above all else, the band wants to make music that connects listeners in faith, hope, and love.
