Formed: 2004
City: Denton, TX
Billy and the Barbacks is a Denton based southern rock/Texas country band headed up by Billy Langley, the lead singer, guitarist, harmonica player, and chief songwriter. The band has been together since 2004, but gone through a few lineup changes here and there. The new lineup of Billy and Glenn harmonizing vocals and dueling on guitars backed up by Kent and Adam holding down the pocket makes a perfect sound to chill out, get down, rock out, get drunk, dance, not dance, yell, and do basically anything that feels groovy. Billy and the Barbacks are currently in the process of recording their three song demo themselves, and will be posting tunes and selling cheap demo CDs at shows coming up soon.
