Binary Sunrise was begun in early 2005 by K.L. Kemp as a one-man band of sorts, eventually growing slightly to an accepted two-person stage presence, with pre-recorded rhythm section backup. Kemp began putting serious thought to recording demos (and some tracking intended for integration into a commercial release) in his makeshift bedroom studio in October of 2005. Binary Sunrise debuted on February 8, 2006, at Curtain Club with Joey McClellan serving guitar duties. Laura Harrell and Trey Pendergrass have also assisted from time to time.

Influences
Exploring electronic music, exploring rock music. The band likes elements of electronica, punk (and post-punk), 60's British rock, and pop, etc. It's a grab bag of sorts.
