Genres: Alternative / Indie, Rock
Formed: 2001
City: Arlington, TX
Web site: http://www.blacklightsmusic.com
Taking advantage of diverse musical backgrounds, Black Lights attempt to create unique music that is both aggresive and atmospheric. Elements of rock and jazz are seemlessly blended over solid driving rhythms, building tension into soft release. Special attention is paid to employing original song structure. The intent is to abandon or hide the standard verse, chorus, verse formula. Great importance is placed on each member providing an equal portion of the overall sound, with painstaking focus on detail.
