What does Blackheart Society sound like? Think back decades ago when a phenomenon emerged out of a ball of confusion known to us today as rock 'n roll. With the same intensity and purpose, Blackheart Society creates music that just feels right. Their sound is not easily defined by simple stereotypes. Blackheart's music is more of an experience, an ever-changing melodic pop journey.
Throughout their adolescence, the three members that make up Blackheart Society (Ben, Josh and Cameron) found themselves repeatedly listening to the rock legends of yesteryear. Dreams of being on stage while pouring out their heart and soul to express their vision and art to the masses clouded their minds. And they soon realized this was their destiny.
Each member brings a different flavor to the group. Influenced by many genres of music, the band will play anything from tripped out psychedelic guitar songs to an '80s twist, or in your face, toe-stomping folk music, or the most intricate electronic music with massive lush synthesizer sounds.
Blackheart Society is nothing more than three guys with a dream and vision to make good music, “free” to creatively write, produce, and artistically express themselves with an open mind to try new ideas, recording techniques, and styles they like without being stuck in one stale flavor of the week that is forgotten in the drowning stale pop world of today.

Friday Night Films with AFI Dallas "If you build it, they will come" ... could've described Ray Nasher's vision for NorthPark and his sculpture center, or Lenier Temerlin and Michael Cain's desire to start a local AFI festival. The two team up for an all-American screening of Field of Dreams in the Dallas Arts District. Or there's always fireworks. More info
