Genre: Bluegrass
RIYL: Killer bluegrass
Formed: 2002
City: Fort Worth, TX

The members of Cadillac Sky were raised and steeped in the staunch, honest sounds of stalwarts such as Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs, all the while keeping a curious ear and an open mind, and consistently sneaking out from under the watchful eyes of their elders to discover the groundbreaking sounds of New Grass Revival, The David Grisman Quintet, and artists from other genres such as The Beatles.
The band was chosen out of hundreds of applicants as one of the twelve acts to showcase at the 2004 IBMA World of Bluegrass Trade Show. The band is composed of two national champions, a guitar veteran, an upright virtuoso and an award winning songwriter. They’ve toured with the likes of Sara Evans, Josh Turner and David Ball; performed at venues such as Cargenie Hall, Ryman Auditorium, and The Grand Ole Opry; and had songs recorded by George Strait, Kenny Rogers, Mark Wills and Neal McCoy.
In 2006 they signed a record deal with Skaggs Family Records, based in Hendersonville, Tenn. In January 2007 they released the first album under that label, Blind Man Walking.
