Chameleon Chamber Group
Founded 2008, based in Dallas, TX
The Chameleon Chamber Group is an electro-acoustic symphony, existing for the sole purpose of performing classical music in a modern way. Their performances are deadly serious (like most of the composers), but they are injected with humor, playfulness, thoughtfulness and color. While they perform the music of Bach, Brahms and Saint-Seans (among others), they are heavily influenced by Wendy Carlos (Stanley Kubrick) and Carl Stalling (Looney Tunes). The group fully exploits the evolution of electronics and electronic sounds, while preserving the compositions' historical style and ornamentation. The result is an exciting blend of modern sound with the familiarity of melodies that are engrained in western culture. The Chameleon Chamber Group delivers virtuoso fun.
