Band History

Claud Hardrick knows his way around jazz and his instrument. He can go with the flow of smooth jazz or he can fiercely blow the sounds of bebop. Incorporating tightly orchestrated jazz with soulful contemporary sounds, adding a dash of funk and rhythm and blues, is what makes his playing style so unique.

The Wichita, Kansas native is currently the saxophonist for the nationally known, Dallas based band Fingerprints. Performing with the group has allowed him to share his talent with music lovers throughout the United States and abroad. His extensive experience in music has also garnered him the honors of sharing the stage with such jazz luminaries as Stanley Jordan, Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot, Najee, Kirk Whalum, The Rippingtons, Jonathan Butler and Art Porter just to name a few.

Mr. Hardrick began playing clarinet at age ten and it wasn't until Junior High, before he picked up a saxophone. Later performing in all High School ensembles, along with local and area jazz groups Mr. Hardrick began to build confidence. After attending college and receiving a Bachelor of Music in performance from the very prestigious University of North Texas, he began playing around the Dallas and Fort Worth area. In 1991 after a very close friend moved on to other things, Mr. Hardrick was offered the position in Fingerprints, which he gladly accepted.

When not on the road with the band or gigging around the Dallas Fort Worth area, Mr. Hardrick can be found shedding and working on his material.
