The Coffee Nods were born as the brainchild of Ben "Benisanna" Rogers. When Ben started Coffee Nods, he was at the stage of his life when he could embrace being labeled "all grown up." Being further down the road in life, his lyrics pertain to "grown folk" issues and cover a wide emotional base of topics, from a song about a homeless former group member to a song about a neighbor that came to his house wanting to buy beer from him at 3 am. These are the issues that pertain to grown folks everywhere.
The Coffee Nods are fronted by the duo of Benisanna and Theory. The duo also recognizes Big Aziz, Malex, Chris Godbey, Bavu Blakes, Skinnyfresh, D Madness, ch0, Rob Viktum, Ill C, Chuck Sly, Tahiti and S1 as major contributors to the project.
You can also find Ben co-hosting the Dallas Mavericks post game shows on 1310 The Ticket with Skin from Hydroponic Sound System.

Vans Warped Tour 2009 Warped just began -- Dallas is the fifth stop -- so Bad Religion, NOFX et al will still be fresh. This year, they've got fewer stages and longer sets (40 minutes instead of 30). Get there early for Colorado duo 3OH!3 and Brit punkers Gallows (pictured, credit Jay West). More info
