This Denton quartet is built by twin brothers John and Matt Spivey (who have played in various bands since 1997) along with seasoned musicians Ryan Hanifin and Hailey Wynn. Together, The Color of May has been building a name for themselves, sharing the stage with acts like The Burden Brothers, Flickerstick, Automatic Loveletter, and A Cursive Memory.
In 2009 the band released Recovery, recorded in eight days with the help of Grammy-nominated producer, Alex Gerst, at Indian Trails Studios. There Gerst helped craft the sounds of such bands as Ivoryline, The Feds, and The Vehicle Reason.
