Crushed Stars formed as the indie rock counterpart to Todd Gautreau's electronic project called Sonogram. Occasional musical guests who sit in with Todd include Joe Schwartzott, Todd Gunter, Kevin Dotolo and Justin Evans. Several of their songs were featured on MTV's The Diary of Angelina Jolie & Dr. Jeffrey Sachs in Africa special that aired in 2005.
