Band History
November of 2002 saw Darrin Kobetich develop a serious interest in the acoustic guitar. His band, Amillion Pounds, had to cancel an appearance due to theft. Darrin filled in the slot with a solo performance and has been gigging solo around Texas ever since.
It's been said that his music is similar to that of Jimmy Page's acoustic playing and Leo Kottke's finger style / slide work. The discovery of various artists has been a huge influence on his writing in recent years. Listeners can hear some bluegrass, Indian / middle-eastern, Celtic, Spanish, and Delta blues sprinkled in the mix. His song titles are usually based on (or taken from) places he's been, the sound of the song, or what was going on at the time the song was written.
