Band History

Dog Company was formed in early 2004 with members from Dallas punk bands The Staggers, Wayward Boys, and Dryline. Dog Company has an obvious bone to pick with the status quo ... whether it be the business-as-usual politics of Washington, D.C., or the ever increasing mediocrity of punk rock. Ex-Staggers/Riot Squad U.S. front man Joe Blow stripped it down with no flash, just the punchy political punk rock that Dog Company does so well.

With the release of their first official album Songs of Discontent in 2008 on Slab-O-Wax Records, Dog Company’s dissatisfaction with the present state of affairs is acutely displayed. With the average song coming in under two minutes and fifteen seconds, its clear that the motto of “rock ‘em in two minutes or don’t do it at all” is definitely at work.

In 2009, Dog Company signed with Germany’s Contra Records to produce their 2nd full length album, A Bullet for Every Lie. Released in Fall 2010, this album is ten songs of pure political punk rock and early reviews have called it a “punk rock masterpiece.”

Dog Company will grab your attention from the first note to the last. In addition to playing with punk legends such as Street Dogs, Flatfoot 56, Lower Class Brats, Vice Squad, Agnostic Front, The Business & Subhumans. The latest release A Bullet for Every Lie is a vinyl-only limited press with CD included, and choice of 3 different colors of vinyl - Bomb Pop, which is red, white and blue; Kablooey, blue and black splatter; and Blickety Black, classic black vinyl and the rarest of the colors!

The Dog Company dudes are some of the coolest guys you'll ever meet. We hope to see them out West, in Tucson, AZ, as soon as they can make it. Y'all are missed!!
