Band History

With a blend of Texas hardcore and modern metal, Downward has earned the respect of a city that has spawned such national acts such as Pantera, Damage Plan and Drowning Pool. Since Downward formed in 2000, the band has opened for such national acts as Linkin Park, King's X, Six Feet Under, Exodus and Blindside, as well as having played in top venues throughout the south. Downward has received radio airplay not only in various markets through out the U.S. but even held a top 10 spot on the German Metal Charts for 9 weeks straight in 2003. Downward delivers an in your face live experience that will leave you wanting more.

Guitarist Todd Visentine moonlights in Maiden Texxas, an Iron Maiden tribute band.

Sadly, the Downward path ended in July 2006 when the band called it quits.
