Genre: Rock
Sound description: Whiskey soaked outlaw rock with a touch of blues and country
Formed: 2005
City: Dallas, TX
Created in early April of 2005, Saille Branch, Jacob Simpson, Shane Evans, and Bart Thrasher began writing blues influenced rock, heavy on dark chord progressions. Dragna has a style all its own. The band's sound is best described as whiskey soaked outlaw rock (with a touch of blues and country), or what the band has dubbed "Grit Rock." Guitar heavy chops, backed up by blues style drums and bass (with a definite punk influence), and accented by keys, trumpet, and harmonica. Every member lends his voice, either as lead or back-up, switching off from song to song.
After several line-up changes, the band is currently a 6 piece. Each member's vast array of influences is distinctly noticeable from song to song, giving their music a generous variety while keeping a common thread through it all. Dragna is one band that will never bore you - they are very unpredictable, and have a ton of fun on stage.
