For years now the Durango Brothers have been carefully devising their plan to take over the music world. Although they have not been successful as of yet, they have had many minor victories. For example, one time they got a whole lot of applause from a small group of "trained" monkeys and a slightly drunk penguin. Also, they once received an award for the second greatest Durango Brothers ever to be the Durango Brothers. Additionally there are unconfirmed reports that they have been asked to open for a very good band one time. All this and they are still a fairly new musical folk country rock acoustic duo powerhouse having only performed together between 3 and 1,976 times. So watch out for these, the folkin' Durango Brothers!

Friday Night Films with AFI Dallas "If you build it, they will come" ... could've described Ray Nasher's vision for NorthPark and his sculpture center, or Lenier Temerlin and Michael Cain's desire to start a local AFI festival. The two team up for an all-American screening of Field of Dreams in the Dallas Arts District. Or there's always fireworks. More info
