The Fabulous Viagras are a doo-wop vocal band, performing the most famous and popular doo-wop oldies tunes originating from their school days during the late fifties and early sixties. Their trademark is that each tune is performed as closely to the original as possible.
Friends since their Lakewood Elementary school days through J.L. Long Junior High and Woodrow Wilson High School in East Dallas, the band reformed in 2002 for their 40-year high school reunion. It was such a success, the group continued, adding to their list of old doo-wop hits and performing at public and private venues in the Dallas area. Having performed together in various bands during their school days, the group of old friends kept in touch over the years and shared a love for the old doo-wop harmony. Uniquely, all vocalists share leads and backgrounds. The band sings a capella or with full backup, depending on the budget and the venue. They have been known to appear impromptu at various local restaurants, singing at tables of birthday celebrators or other lovers of doo-wop.
