The members of Face of Mercy have dedicated their lives to purpose and music. They strive to put on the best show of their lives each night. Their music is something different, a message of hope, despair, pain and struggling, but yet presents a message of truth in the end.
"We live in a world that is torn apart everyday by negative images that produce a society of fakeness and a life of nothingness," says guitarist Lance Shults. "We, as a band, want to show people and tell them through our music that life is worth living and no matter what the world may tell you they want you to be, you are an individual person who has a mind all their own. We want to convey to our audiences that we can rock your faces off and at the same time give you a message of hope, purpose, and a sense of meaning. That is the purpose of this band, not to preach at people, but to let people know we care and hear them."
Perhaps the band did, in fact, lose hope, purpose and a sense of meaning, because they broke up in June 2006 when Amber Hickman decided to leave the band.
