The Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to preservation, teaching and performance of America's art form, Jazz. The Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra, Inc. will feature original pieces written to honor the tradition of big band music. The group is led by master drummer Adonis Rose and comprised of the best musicians in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The music of great composers and arrangers such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Lionel Hampton will emit an excitement throughout Dallas/Fort Worth forming an impressionable and lasting jazz audience locally, regionally, and internationally. A major goal of The Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra, Inc. is to nurture an environment that will cultivate a community support of an arts-based culture.
The Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra, Inc. is Fort Worth's first permanent jazz orchestra dedicated to the music of the big bands. The Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra, Inc. combines instrumental and vocal music, along with other entertainment elements to provide an exciting and unique concert experience. The Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra, Inc. is available for concerts, educational seminars, clinics, master classes, and workshops throughout the United States and around the world.
