Genres: Alt-Country / Americana, Rockabilly
Sound description: Low-fi rockabilly and Americana
Formed: 2006
City: Dallas, TX
After three and a half years and more than 200 shows with Spector 45, guitarist / front man Frankie 45 has taken a break to explore other avenues of rock & roll. He is joined by friend and multi-instrumentalist Ben Martin on percussion. Ben is the former drummer for the Delcos and former guitarist for Catch the People. Their music together is distinctly different from all previous efforts by either player.
Echoes of the '50s and '60s, revered throughout Frankie's career, are still evident, but this time with a more authentic twist. The "greaser punk" power and distortion is completely stripped away, opting instead for the low fi approach of childhood favorites Jonathan Richman and Mojo Nixon. This music is not preconceived, preprogramed or computer generated; rather it is created only with true heartfelt emotion.
