Gerry was born in Massachusetts on January 21, 1950. His father was part of the Air Force, and Gerry was the oldest of 8 children. As a musician, Gerry has lived in Europe, New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Ft Worth, Houston, and Hardy, Arkansas. He started playing guitar while in England at the age of six. In addition to guitar, Gerry is now accomplished on the banjo, mandolin, bass guitar, Dobro guitar, and keyboards. He is also an engineer and a producer. Gerry can perform and headline either as a single artist on guitar and/or keyboards, or with his band, Mossman which performs as a 3 or 4 piece group. One of Gerry's previous bands, The Famous Unknowns, was the house band at B.B. Kings Blues Club in Memphis, TN for two and a half years. He has performed with such artists as Bobby “Blue” Bland, Albert Collins, Rufus Thomas, Lloyd Price, Buddy Guy, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Charlie Pride, Hank Williams, Jr., Clint Black’s band, Joe Walsh, Stevie Winwood, Johnny Rivers, and with Paul McCartney’s band.
