The Herrin Family is a bluegrass gospel band from Fort Worth, Texas. They have been singing and ministering since 1996.

Curry Herrin has been a licensed minister since 1984. He has ministered in several churches, missions, and nursing homes and on the streets of Fort Worth.

Jeremy started playing bass guitar at age nine. He has excelled his talents to include mandolin, lead guitar, banjo, and numerous other instruments. He also writes and arranges music for the band.

Chris started playing the drums at the age of ten and now plays the mandolin.

John Gallant plays the upright bass and does a wonderful job.

Darla Gallant, John's mother, sings the high tenor part. She has a wonderful and unique voice that is a excellent addition to the group.

Akira Sato Jazz trumpeter Akira Sato, by way of Tokyo, Japan and Vancouver, Canada, is an SMU faculty member and director of The Meadow Jazz Orchestra at SMU. He is also an adjunct faculty member at UNT where he teaches jazz arranging. Sato is also heading into the studio soon with other area musicians and playing at the Scat Jazz Lounge tonight. With all that he's up to, the least you could do is order a Scotch on the rocks and chill to some tunes. (Photo by flickr user arteunporro. More info
