Iconoclast

(Disbanded)

Genres: Christian, Pop

City: Dallas, TX

After winning the KLTY Rising Star Contest, Iconoclast hit the ground running, turning into an overnight independent success story. In less than a year, Iconoclast has played for over 200,000 people, including playing at Celebrate Freedom, the largest outdoor Christian concert in the world. The band's name, which means to smash idols or overthrow popular cultures, originates from the C.S. Lewis quote "All reality is Iconoclastic." This band is comfortable playing in front of thousands or in a more intimate setting like a youth group.

When they headed back into the studio to work on their sophomore album, the band decided they were all going in different directions and called it quits.

Laurie Anderson Laurie Anderson is indescribably delicious. She's hitting McFarlin tonight with her new show, Homeland, and you can bet it will contain intellectual stimulation and pure unadulterated weirdness in equal measure. An album will follow the Homeland tour in 2009. More info
