Rod Reppe and Stuart Graham met in their teens through various music projects and shared friends. They loosely stayed in touch over the years, and by 1999 both their families had relocated to the DFW area. Each had amassed substantial music gear since the '70s, so it seemed kinda natural to dust it off and give the band thing one more try...the result is The Impostles.

Local KLUV radio personality John Summers joined in 2003 as lead guitarist and vocalist. Bassist Mark Carruth joined in July, 2005. Drummer Joe Hevey replaced long-time Impostles percussionist Don Morgan in 2006. Other previous members include Billy Kidd (bass), Wes Barron (bass), and founding Impostles members Jeff Wallace (bass) and Steve Cagle (drums).

The Impostles take a "refined garage band" approach, with lots of harmony parts and plenty of volume. They pride ourselves on creating unique setlists of crazy, dancable, yet recognizable songs that are completely different from the standard Dallas-area "classic rock" geezer bands.

Redefining the Disfranchised: The Political Art of Nina Allender As we continue to celebrate the 88th Anniversary of Women's Right to Vote, there's a prime opportunity to view influential art from the era. Nina Evans Allender drew political cartoons for The Suffragist from 1914 into the 1920s, transforming stereotypical views of who a suffragist was. Over the years, Allender contributed more than 250 political cartoons to the movement, a number of which are on display at the Women's Museum at Fair Park. More info
