Jen Jared graduated from East Central University in December 2000 with a minor in vocal music where she received a vocal scholarship and participated heavily in choral activities. She then moved to Frisco, Texas and was involved with the Frisco Community Chorale for one year before moving to Dallas.
She has mastered a large body of jazz standards and incorporates into her performances many stylistic influences ranging from Billie Holiday to Norah Jones. She has a broad emotional palette and can be at once subtle and impassioned.
