Based in Brownsboro, TX
Since first taking the stage at the ripe old age of three, Josh Owen has made multiple national TV appearances, released his own independent album, become a rising star of the Texas music circuit and caught the ear of the Nashville music industry.
After he appeared at a showcase in Gatlinburg, Tenn., in 2001, Josh won studio time with producer/engineer Bill Warner at Warner's Active Audio studio in Nashville. What started as demo recordings by the then 15-year-old artist quickly became a full album. Independently released two years later on Piney Woods Records, it featured songs by such top Nashville songwriters as Thom Shepherd (who wrote David Ball's "Riding with Private Malone"), Kirsti Manna (Blake Shelton's "Austin"), Lee Thomas Miller (Joe Nichols' "The Impossible"), Tommie Barnes (Tim McGraw's "Indian Outlaw") and Michael White (Blake Shelton's "The Baby").
In 2005, Josh was one of 10 finalists out of 13,000 contestants for Nashville Star.
