The TG gang ran into the Josh Weathers Band as we were leaving our happy hour at the Green Elephant last week. We snagged ourselves a copy of their self-titled CD along the way, and listening to it now, I am extemely impressed. Hopefully we'll have a full-length review up soon, but I highly recommend it.

jw is seasoned way beyond his mere 23 years. i swear it's like he channels energy! he is a top notch arranger, writer, band leader...he is in control at all times of what occurs on stage. his voice is clear and as driving as his skills on guitar, banjo, harp...you name it. the band performed the j gilligan's st. patty's day bash...it was the most incredible show i've ever seen him do...and that is saying something. small venues, large venues, street events...this guy pairs down, builds up, whatever it takes to make the show 100% pro! he will be on leno within two years max! he is the rocket man. his bandmates are talented and there is a definite respect based relationship. each member is allowed to shine ...but it's josh's galaxy... and what's even more cool...josh is a wonderful, sweet, humble, family man...strong faith in God, confidence in himself because, as track 4 (i believe) on his cd says so beautifully, "... i am blessed!"
he is an amazing talent! i'm proud to know him! go see him!
