After six years of persistence and featured tracks with artists such as Paul Wall, Lil Jon, Fabolous, Young Noble of the Outlaws, Lil Flip, Seven and Devin the Dude, the industry is regarding Jusone as a seasoned vet who just happens to be flying under the radar. Jusone and his counterparts are making their move to take Dallas straight to the top.
Jusone not only has countless hours performing for his local supporters and fans, but he has also competed in the New York Music and Film Festival in Sept 2004, which was held in Los Angeles, CA, and received honors for best rap act. In additional to winning such honors in Los Angeles, Jusone captured the West Coast crowd by performing at Myagi's (a local hotbed home to the stars of Hollywood) and Universal Studios. With the street single "Texas Is My Backyard" and "We Came to Party," the mainstream club banger is building a massive fan-base not only in the streets and clubs but on the radio waves and promo-pages and taking his city by storm.
Born Derelle King, Jusone has been on the scene for over 6 years, mostly "undercover" because of his dedication to spending countless hours in the studio and putting in hard work. "No detail goes unnoticed, it's about perfection. If you're reaching for the stars, you have to build the shuttle to get you there." Now with his own label, Royalty Rekords, he has positioned himself in the "express lane" to make a huge impact on not only the Dallas hip-hop scene, but the nation and world-wide hip-hop scene. "Music is the language of the world; it touches people in the same fashion as the air we breathe. It's the rhythm our hearts beat to, without music, we would cease to exist."
