Breaking all of the stereotypes, these "thirty-something" ladies decided to shun the traditional girlie gatherings of book clubs and knitting groups and put forth their creative instincts to create their own social club, Lovie. Lovie brings a fresh, intelligent but still fun and catchy approach to the Girl Rock Movement with solid pop songwriting. Lovie appeals to everyone: men, women, boys, girls– with fun songs that are good natured and catchy enough to lodge themselves into your brain on permanent replay. The ladies’ magnetic personalities make them a friend to everyone– and it certainly doesn’t hurt that they are cute to boot!
The Lovie girls each have a unique background, together focused on creating powerful songs. The band’s strengths lie in the songwriting of lead singer/guitarist Rebecca (indie-rock mom of 3), the steady backbeat of drummer Grace (super-vegan/animal rights activist), bassist Robin (hip fashion designer), and farfisa keyboard playing Cari (eccentric/quirky, world traveler).
