The Mad Scientists are a strange brew of dark psychedelia that often skates the fine line between melody and chaos, which has helped them tmake a name for themselves among Denton, Texas' renowned eclectic artistic community. The band released their first album, Geoparsitism, in 2005.
Guitarist/vocalist Brannon Barr and bassist Kim Fry began jamming shortly after their meeting in a college dorm. It soon became apparent that they had found something very original and unique. In March of 2004, they unveiled their sonic mutant creations. Excited to hear something different from the standard fare, audiences coming out for a beer and a date stopped talking and started listening when The Mad Scientists took the stage. With the addition in May 2005 of Christina Cooper on drums, even more people took notice.
