Mellowship has a sound of its own, a unique blend of rock, funk, bluegrass and jazz that features high-energy performances of well-crafted songs with tight vocal harmonies. Mellowship thrives on live performances that are not an “act” but celebrations of life and music that invite the audience to have a great time dancing and listening to the band.
The chemistry of Mellowship is deeply rooted between Steve Porcari, Pablo Russell and Will Hodges who have been performing together exclusively for the past six years. Dan Walker joined the established trio in 1999 and George Esquivel followed shortly to round out the line up. The band released it’s self titled debut in 2004 to rave reviews from fans and Relix magazine. Despite the departure of Dan, Mellowship has enjoyed ever-increasing demand for their performances and recordings from audiences across Texas and on the Internet.
Mellowship has shared the stage with George McConnell (Widespread Panic), the Kudzu Kings, Juice, Olospo, Moses Guest, Peter Rowan, David Nelson Band, Garaj Mahal, Larry, Mingo Fishtrap and Speedtrucker to name a few.
