Band History
Mike Mancy, who grew up in Houston, got his start playing and writing songs in Los Angeles and Nashville. Drummer Kelly Test, from Dallas, has played for Cooder Graw, Rusty Wier, Pat Green and the Bleu Edmondson Band. Royce Thompkins, from Fort Worth, plays a six string bass with about as much energy as the entire band put together.
Their single “Let it Roll” was featured in an independent film from 2005 called The Ranch directed by Grady Moore. The band has been joined in the studio by Roger Ray (steel guitar) and Noah Jefferies (fiddle) from Jason Boland and the Stragglers; Cody Braun (harmonica, fiddle) from Reckless Kelly; Matt Skinner (guitar) from the Doug Moreland Band and Stoney LaRue.
