Coming after the release their debut EP, Et Al, Moving Atlas drummer and friend Matt Baker died in 2007. Though it meant the end of a chapter and the beginning of another for this Dallas quintet, they ultimately released the critically acclaimed Elephant Gun E.P. and scored an Independent Music Awards nomination for Best Metal/Hard Rock song for "Parachute."
The band anticipates releasing another album in early 2009.
