Nate Rodriguez and his Unlikely Criminals were forged in the musical scene of Texas. Each member brought their diverse talents together to form one of Central Texas's grooviest little power trios. Nate, Native son of Victoria Texas, an accomplished professional musician, is versed in jazz and possesses the soul of the blues. Nate met Matt Shroyer (Loaded Dice, Bad Apples, Slick Willie) in July 2007. After collaborating on a previous project, the duo decided to seek a like-minded master of the four-string, subatomic, sound gun. A mutual friend introduced them to bassist Dan Garett (Hip by Association, Manchurian Candidate, American Idles). Over drinks at Lakeside Tavern a pact was struck and the trio formed. From casinos to rallies and bistros to bars; blues to rock and country to jazz to Motown. Settling for any less than NRUC is criminal!
