In 2001, a want-ad in Harder Beat magazine brought (former) drummer Michael Glass and (former) guitarist Brodie White together to create Overscene. Although there have been many member changes, the chemistry and power of the band has remained strong since day one. In 2003, bassist Erin Denis joined the group, adding a remarkable stage performance. To round off the band, vocalist/frontman J.R. Munoz (formerly of the Dallas group Tension) joined the band, adding his raspy, melodic vocals and furious screams to the group.
At the end of 2005, Brodie White decided to leave the group and was replaced by Nick Cooper from Insight, adding his flavor to the Overscene sound on guitar. His flavor left, too, however, and was replaced by Justin Hold.

After nearly 5 years of being the rythm of OverScene, Micheal Ryan Glass has decided to part ways with the band. It was a choice that Mike had to make and a very hard one. He is a brother and great friend to us always, but how ever not everything in the business world ends in fairytale. I'm sure most of you people who knew Micheal will truly miss him. We all know how good of a person and musician he is and his dream did not stop here. He will carry on, as we will do the same. Theres alot of great memories, we made a great record together, and got to tour the country together. And those will never be forgotten. Much love and respect goes to mike and we wish him the best of luck! As for the rest of the OverScene camp we will continue on writing this summer and recording with some great producers. Trying to make way for an Overscene national release. What we are looking for as far as drummers???? we'll announce that later... Peace and Love.....
