Rafe & Jess

With his music career already a decade old, Rafe Grigar continues to write original music as well as play worship for churches around the area. He finds his songwriting to revolve around the theme that no matter who you are or what you're going through, you are not alone. Tongue in cheek lyrical honestly abounds in his songs. Although his instrument of choice is guitar, his musical abilities extend to piano, bass, drums, and mandolin. During his career, Rafe has been around the country performing his original music as well as worship.

Jess started out singing when she was very young. Singing in churches around the Texas area, her mother really pushed her to excel vocally. She took a step in a different direction and went into the performing arts world for a bit. After preforming around the US during the summer of '06, she came back to Texas and to pursue her musical interests.

During the Summer of 2007 Rafe and Jess met not realizing either could sing or play. Taking Rafe's original music and lyrics, they combined their harmonies and talents to create Rafe and Jess or "The Roses."

Rafe and Jess currently play at many venues around the Dallas/Ft Worth area, from cover songs to originals to worship.
