Rob Baird and The Whiskey Reunion is a group of musicians with an eclectic country music sound. The band came together through a deep love for music. The members met at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Although Rob hails from Memphis, Tennessee, the other band members are native Texans. Rob initially formed the band with drummer John Hallman, from Dallas. John had been playing drums for seven years, as he grew up playing drums in jazz band and on the drum line at his high school. The duo soon recruited Kevin Christensen of Midland to play rhythm and lead guitar. Kevin comes from a well endowed musical family, so after losing the band’s original bass player, it seemed only natural to incorporate his twobrothers, Kent Christensen and Mikey Christensen, to play bass and lead guitar.
Like most new bands, Rob Baird and the Whiskey Reunion began by playing covers. However, after only a handful of performances, the group decided it was time to take their music to the next level. Rob began composing and debuting new songs at the band’s house shows at the Aardvark in Fort Worth. The crowds responded positively and have been asking for more ever since.
In 2006, the band released its debut album, Past Tomorrow.
