Robert Gotcher has been gigging in one form or another since 1997. Starting out in the coffee house scene, he produced his first CD, Freedom. In early 2001, Robert compiled a collection of praise/spiritual songs titled Trust. In 2002, the Robert Gotcher Band was formed - but not the way you see it today. With a unique acoustic approach, the early RGB did well in the Dallas music scene, but limited it's audience by it's more eclectic, acoustic sound.
The new Robert Gotcher Band started out with Robert jamming with an old friend of his, Gary Batts. Not too long after that, Chris Copeland came onto the scene and completed the trio. Although RGB has their own definitive sound, they've been compared to a mixture of Train, John Mayer, Jeff Buckley, and Maroon 5. RGB's sound is characterized by it's listenability, energy, and groove.
