Ron Micklin comes from a musical family, which included several big band musicians, a violinist, a guitarist, and a grandmother who played clarinet in an all-girls big band. While earning his bachelors degree, Ron studied music theory, musicology and the viola.
Three months after picking up his first guitar in high school, Ron was playing in his first garage band. His musical vitae runs the gamut from garage bands, playing for not-quite-sober crowds in clubs, a fair bit of street singing, some studio recordings of original material, tenor and soloist for his church music department, to playing north Texas coffee houses.
