Remember rock and roll? Upbeat tempos and bluesy guitars, steady bass lines that involuntarily compel your body to dance (even if you don’t know how), sarcastic vocals with quick phrasing and words that connect with your soul? That is the word. Soul is something that you can’t visibly see, but you felt it the first time you ever heard Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers Band and Aerosmith. You felt it when you were left far behind by someone that you love. Rising up from a “new” generation of rock music, Squarewheel, originally formed in Dallas in December of 2004, has taken the DFW rock scene by storm. Having been described as “Candlebox going to war with The Crowes in Vietnam, in a happy sense,” Squarewheel has shared the stage with national acts such as Sponge and Pushmonkey, and have packed metroplex venues and clubs to do what they do best - bleed out their hearts for rock and roll.
