Stephen Pointer was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He started playing guitar at the age of 8, studying classical guitar. At the age of 11, he began training under the guidance of one of the finest guitar players in the world, Dave Millsap. Stephen began songwriting with the release of his first independent project called Panhandle to Padre and has written over fifty songs to date. His second and third CDs, Hooked and Sixes and Sevens, were released respectively in 2003 and 2005.
Graduating from Texas Christian University, Stephen has deep Texas roots and his music shows it. He has built a strong following both within and without the university community. He is very dedicated to his music and loves the Texas music nation.
