In 1995, drummer George Presley got together with Steve Hill, who was coming out of a 7 year musical layoff, for a jam session. This quickly led to the formation of a band. Both Hill and Presley had worked together previously in The J.B. Strut Band, a popular 1980s DFW blues/rock band. Bassist Steve Evans, who also performed on occasion with Hill and Presley as a substitute bass player for The J.B. Strut Band was enlisted in the Trio in 1998 when he returned to the DFW area from El Paso, where he had relocated.

Since then, Presley has had to leave the band due to health considerations.

Redefining the Disfranchised: The Political Art of Nina Allender As we continue to celebrate the 88th Anniversary of Women's Right to Vote, there's a prime opportunity to view influential art from the era. Nina Evans Allender drew political cartoons for The Suffragist from 1914 into the 1920s, transforming stereotypical views of who a suffragist was. Over the years, Allender contributed more than 250 political cartoons to the movement, a number of which are on display at the Women's Museum at Fair Park. More info
