1000 Miles From Home has created a unique alternative sound that might remind you of early Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters or Incubus.

The band was formed in Dallas, Texas in 2005. When it came time to choose a name for the new project, many hours of brainstorming yielded nothing. Did you expect three engineers and a steel salesman to be creative? The theme that all four members happened to be transplants from distant cities far from Texas (Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Tampa) eventually surfaced and finally 1000 Miles From Home was born.

1000 Miles From Home has performed in the DFW area at the Curtain Club, Rock Steady, What?Bar, The End Zone, and Galaxy Club.
