The Vince Lujan Project (pronounced - 'LU-HAN') is a Denton, Texas based band that is putting a new spin on the ever evolving, all emcompassing Texas sound by fusing blends of groove, pop, funk, Latin, and soul. It's "feel good" music that's catchy and memorable with great hooks and accessible lyrics.
The amalgamation that is VLP contains a wide variety of musical influences. Each individual player brings something unique to the group. Some have commented on hearing the influences of Santana, the Dave Matthews Band, the Mexican rock band ManĂ¡, Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Jose Feliciano, and even references to Texas standard artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Los Lonely Boys. To really understand the group, you've got to experience a live show. There is a certain energy in the room when they play that totally envelopes you and causes you to get lost in the music.
The Vince Lujan Project takes their music in a positive direction that you can feel down in your Texas or 'wherever you come from' soul.
