Vodnik began in the year 2000 as the band "Inferno X" by original members Chris Musser and Josh Johnson. Inferno X went through some member changes and changed their name to "Antigone." Antigone then learned that their name was already taken by another band, so they changed their name yet again to "Vodnik." The band has opened for God Dethroned, Six Feet Under and Nightrage on the IEMF tour.
