Apologies for brief politics database glitch

You may remember that back in March , based on community feedback, we decided to redact the number, but not the street names in our database of contributors to local campaigns .

It seems that while doing some other upgrades, we inadvertently reverted back to the old template. We were alerted by someone who saw their full home address back on the site and we fixed it.

While it's entirely legal and arguably within reasonable bounds for us to publish the full data, it's not what we said we'd do going forward. So, our apologies to anyone who may have been inconvenienced -- and we'll keep a closer eye on that template.

Matt Anderson, verified:

I do think that it would be helpful if you distinguished between residential and business addresses -- particularly in your list of "addresses that gave the most". It's kind of pointless to have "Main Street" and "Pacific" without street numbers. It's one thing to give out someone's home address, but completely reasonable to show how much money is flowing from a specific business address or building.
