Bienvenidos a Latina Lista

I've known Marisa Treviño since back in my early days at D , where she was a regular contributor. And in her most recent gig at INMA , she was an early supporter and fan of what we're doing here.

So when she took wing to go full time on her site, Latina Lista and suggested a partnership, I was all for it.

Latina Lista focuses on "anything and everything from a Latina perspective" -- and we know that the Latina community (many of whom don't regularly speak Spanish) are an important part of our audience... or should be.

Marisa proposed a localized version of her Lista , marrying her type of commentary with our local focus. We were all for it, but unfortunately couldn't find anyone on our staff who had the time, or frankly the knowledge, to deliver.

So I was thrilled when Marisa, like a true entrepreneur, stepped up and agreed to produce a Pegasus-exclusive version of Latina Lista herself. It started today, with high points including a local riff on the George Lopez' documentary on KERA tonight and a look at an event that demonstrates the Latino community's influence in unexpected neighborhoods.

While we depend on many local content partners, this is the first to have a regular daily feature exclusive to Pegasus News . It's an exciting new (for us) way to share knowledge, and one that I hope publishers in other cities will engage in with Marisa and others like her.

If there's a local topic that you're passionate about, and you want to work with us in a similar way, let me know .

Brava! Glad you're here, Marisa. I hope your perspective will help to blunt some of the more xenophobic points of view we've seen in comments about Pegasus coverage. From what I have read so far, it appears that you are muy lista.
